The Biscuit Rug is a super easy, super quick Rug to crochet. This pattern uses only single crochet with a super bulky yarn and cats love it once it’s done!

Each week for the make-a-long we had a theme for our projects and this week it’s pets! Last month I released my Biscuit Blanket. The whole project was a bit of a fluke because I designed something using yarn my 13 year old daughter picked out. The funny thing is the cats LOVED the blanket so I decided to make a mini version just for the cats. The Biscuit Rug is the purrfect (hehe) gift for you cat or loved one’s cat and I love how quick it works up. So if you need a last minute gift this will work great!
This rug uses Fable Fur from We Crochet which is a super bulky, super fuzzy yarn. Like I said this rug works up in a flash. I knew the cats would go nuts for it so even though I finished pretty quick I waited until the perfect time to try to get photos. And just like I thought, as soon as I put the rug down both Cow (black and white) and Nugget (orange) came to check it out.
In the end Nugget won, made some biscuits and passed out. Cow was pretty jealous so looks like I’ll need to make a second for her.

We Crochet Fable Fur (100% polyester; 71yds/100g; Super bulky weight)
1 skein Color A: Pumice
1 skein Color B: Paloma
1 skein Color C: Volpe
Hook
10 mm hook
Abbreviations
ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
Notes
You can easily adjust the size of this pattern by chaining any number and working any number of rows. It’s very flexible!
Gauge (not critical for this project)
Your beginning ch should be around 15”
Instructions
Stripe instructions: Change color every row. *Work one row in Color A, one row in Color B, one row in Color C; repeat from * To change color, finish the last step of the row with the new color. Do NOT fasten off, tuck the carried yarn in the chains of the beginning of the row.
With Color A ch 26 (or any number)
Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and each st across, turn. –25
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn
Repeat rows 2 until you have 51 rows (or to desired length)
Fasten off, weave in ends.
